Amelia’s SmartyPlants is looking for a Horticulture Sales Associate

Amelia’s SmartyPlants, located in Palm Beach County, is looking for a Horticulture Sales Associate.

If you meet the following qualifications, let’s talk:

• You know South Florida plants
• You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in sales and plant maintenance of tropical and/or Florida plants
• You can guide and educate customers on plant selections
• You can lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• You can consistently work outside in all weather conditions, particularly in the summer when conditions are not always pleasant

Responsibilities are MAINLY SALES and include but are not limited to:

• Guide customers during the selection process of plants, hard goods, and all other garden décor
• Assist customers with pest identification and provide treatment solutions
• Recommend selection of fertilizer based on plants’ needs
• Spot-water as needed
• Unload trucks and place plants for sale in the nursery
• Label plants for sale
• Maintain proper signage on plant groups
• Other tasks assigned relevant to sales and plant maintenance
