Sales Associate Job Description
Seasoned sales associate with significant knowledge of plants for Florida – tropicals, ornamentals, natives, trees, palms, etc.
Main responsibility is to assist customers with plant questions (care and pest control) and landscape design ideas in high-end fast-growing garden center.

EXPERIENCE
Minimum of six years of experience in sales in a retail garden center or similar environment. Some sales experience can be substituted with horticultural degree from a Florida university.
Must know 200 plants – name, use, habit, pest susceptibility, etc. Strong knowledge of Florida native plants is a bonus.

COMPENSATION
Paid vacation, partial payment of health insurance premium, and opportunity for year-end bonus and opportunity for growth and advancement. Hourly rate between $17 and $22 depending on plant knowledge.
