Greenhouse Manager / Horticulturist
Full time, contract or part-time position responsible for managing daily operations of greenhouses and light nursery office support, at our 35-acre native plant farm located in Manatee County, Florida.
Position requires current credentials for Core, Private Applicator and Train the Trainer. Entomology and pest management experience. Prior greenhouse experience required. Proficient with production reports and plant inventory management. Plant nutrition, soil science, Weed I.D. and control knowledge preferred. Some familiarity with basic tissue culture lab production, a plus. Individual should have strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and US work eligibility. Farm equipment experience and bilingual (English/Spanish) desirable.

Primary responsibilities include:
· Responsible for implementation of all propagation programs
· Maintain integrity of greenhouse environment to provide ideal growing conditions
· Monitor/assess insect & fungal problems and provide recommended controls
· Participating in seasonal seed cleaning, harvesting, and monitoring programs
· Other support, as needed
