FANN’s first microcredential recipients

Congratulations to the recipients of FANN’s first microcredential in the native plant professional credentialing space: FANN Favorites South Florida Native Plants 2023.

This is Florida’s first-ever native plant professional credential. FANN has partnered with Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) Continuing Education & Skills Academy. FGCU is a leader in sustainability, entrepreneurship, and innovative “right skills, right time” education options for the modern workforce.

Participants in the program had to learn about 20 South Florida native shrubs and trees. They then had to pass three assessments, including a timed test on plant identification, a timed test on plant benefits, and a final planting design using the FANN favorites.
