For more than four decades, Native Tree Nursery has held firm in its commitment to cultivating the broadest palette of South Florida native trees and shrubs, alongside ecologically appropriate Caribbean species, ornamental palms, and cycads. Our team draws on its collective expertise as well as the most current scientific research to produce vigorous specimens from root to crown, ensuring superior transplant performance and long-term health. With over 300 species planted across 25 acres of containers and 220 acres of field marl, Native Tree Nursery is proud to provide the landscape industry with plant material that will thrive—both now, and in the future.

Native Tree Nursery is seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Associate to join our team of dedicated horticulturalists and plant experts. This individual will work directly with customers to execute sales, enhance relationships, and increase awareness of our diverse inventory. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate and knowledgeable about plants, community engagement, and the opportunity for professional growth within the horticulture industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

Sales:

• Meet and assist customers in both the container and field facilities.
• Track customer requests and follow up as material becomes available.
• Provide measurements, photographs, and quotes.
• Be aware of plant locations, customer tags, and root prune status.
• Maintain labeling of plants.
• Ensure published availability, specifications, and images are kept current.

Customer Relations:

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
• Regularly engage with customers, both in-person and online, to understand their needs and respond to inquiries.

Qualifications:

• Experience in sales and customer service, preferably in horticulture, landscaping, or a related industry.
• Knowledge of South Florida native plants and ecologically appropriate Caribbean species, especially their attributes and uses in the landscape trade. (Additional knowledge of ornamental palms and cycads preferred but not required.)
• Familiarity with plant care and nursery operations.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Fluency in written and conversational English. Ability to communicate clearly in Spanish.
• Passion for learning, collaboration, and professional growth.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work hands-on and be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, social media platforms, and email marketing tools is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Reports to: General Manager

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
